ifilm asks ‘Take Off’ director in an exclusive interview why he cast Iran famous singer Reza Yazdani in his film.
The director Ehsan Abdipour said to ifilm, “The first one, who I added to the non-famous cast without considering the opinion of the producer and production team, was Reza Yazdani.”
He added, “I had gone to the Eco Hall to see a play about three years ago and at the end of the play, he came and played an instrument. He played the guitar and sang a song. When I saw him, I thought to myself that he’s a very humble artist.”
“Later I told him how I had seen him first and how much I liked him; he told me that he had gone there just for one night. He performed only one night and I saw him and I liked him,” he noted.
‘Take Off’ features Iranian artists such as Mostafa Zamani, Reza Yazdani and Hamzeh Moghadam.
The film is a narrative of “some boys’ and girls’ old complexes who try to mass murder them,” a synopsis for ‘Take Off’ reads.
